I run private classes for people with working dogs. These are generally held at Home and run for about 3hrs. They are ideal sessions when you want to get going working stock straight away or if you have a problem dog. These one-on-one sessions are run specifically for what you and your dog needs to learn at the time. You will leave with a firm idea of what you need to do to progress. At these lessons you have me and all my experience to get you off on the right track from the start.
I use a method that is positive, firm and fair. This method has been put together over years of working with Border Collies, Kelpies , Koolies and many other breeds. I have seen many dogs that have come to me confused and out of control, change in a very short time. What makes what I do work so well, is a very good understanding of what makes these dogs tick, coupled with understanding the differences within dogs and breeds so I can make the program that suits your dog individual.
The first lesson is $250 for the 3 hrs and they need to be done one-on-one.
Any subsequent classes are $250 for 3 hrs and can be done in a small group of up to 3, so you can split the cost with a small group of friends.
These lessons are run on week day afternoons at a mutually convenient time.
What People Say;
We have been clients of Heal with Ease (Cathy & Eric Tighe) for a couple of years. Our 14 year old cattle dog was treated by Cathy after having numerous tumors removed and cushings disease. We are so grateful to her for helping us to make our old dog comfortable in her last years.
After losing her at the beginning of the year we soon reached the conclusion that we needed a dog in our lives so we found a red cattle dog, Chilli, who was about 4 months old. She had a few health issues when we purchased her, but after a couple of healing plans from Cathy she is in good health.
Thought we were going alright with her until we had her desexed. She started to show aggressive behaviour so we sought the help of a local trainer. Followed what she had suggested but Chilli’s aggression didn’t get any better (learnt to sit and stay). We were starting to get frustrated that we followed what we had been told and not achieved anything, then Cathy said that Eric trained working dogs and sent us a copy of Eric’s dvd.
After looking at the dvd we contacted Eric and went down for a session with him. It was the best thing we could have done. We took his advice and implemented what he suggested, and Chilli is a lot better. Working dogs are a lot different and react a lot different to other breeds and Eric reminded us of this and to work with what she is.
We only wish that we had thought of Eric a lot sooner.
